7 Self-Development Books Definitely Worth Your Time

I am a self-proclaimed self development book junkie. Thanks to the wonderful world of audiobooks, I fill my commute to work or the 40 minute drive to yoga with a mix of audiobooks and podcasts. I just finished my 24th book for the year and while they haven’t all fallen into the self development or self improvement genre, a lot have. I have also gone back and re-read, or rather, re-listened to some for a second time so that way I could catch some new nuggets of knowledge I may have missed the first time and remind myself of points I may have forgotten.

With that said, I wanted to share some of my favorites that I have read or re-read this year:

You Are a Badass by Jen Sincero

You Are a Badass at Making Money by Jen Sincero

Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert

Girl Code by Cara Alwill Leyba

Quiet by Susan Cain

White Hot Truth by Danielle LaPorte

The Universe Has Your Back Gabrielle Bernstein

What books have you read this year that you recommend? (Self development or not!)

    1. It’s always funny how we catch different nuggets of info based on what we may be going through at that time.

    1. DO IT!! This was my second time reading You Are A Badass and after reading the money one, I knew I had to go back and re-read the original.

  1. I am in the middle of You Are A Badass right now. Though I’m finding it a bit inspirational, I am skipping over some things – like the meditation chapter. I just know I annoy something I’ll do.

  2. I need to check some of these out! I love self help books too, although I tend to read them more during the winter when I’m feeling low and need a pick me up.
