One thing I’ve been trying to do is be even more mindful of the products that I use in and on my body. While I pay a lot of attention to the foods I eat, it doesn’t align with my beliefs to then use products that are packed with chemicals and additives that can still harm my body. Over the last several months, I have slowly been making the change. As I finish one product I have around my house or beauty product, I replace it with a cleaner version. Sometimes I buy that product, but other times that may mean making it myself.
When it comes to taking off my makeup at night, I can get pretty lazy and tired. I love using a makeup remover and facial cleanser wipe, but the cost can add up quickly. I still buy them but I save them for removing my makeup before walking into a yoga class after work or for wiping the sweat off after my Friday morning before work yoga classes. These aren’t an every day item. So what do I use every day to take off my makeup? I make my own!
This may come as no surprise to some of you, but when it comes to taking rest, I’m pretty bad at it. I know and understand the importance of rest days in my workouts, but what about the rest of my life? Just give me a big ol’ F.
I work hard and I enjoy working hard and being busy, but I forget that sometimes it’s okay to be a little “bored” or not do much of anything beside lounge on the couch and binge watch my current Netflix show. Weekends don’t need to be about running ALL the errands, getting in ALL the workouts, and working on blogging AND freelance writing in between the rest of it. Sure, some of those things do need to happen and I also want them to happen, but what about relaxing?
I got my second StitchFix fix yesterday and I thought it would be fun to share you with what was included, what I’ve decided to keep and what I am going to send back.
One of the things I like about StitchFix is that you can link a Pinterest board which your stylist can then use for inspiration when picking what she thinks you may like (in addition to your set preferences when creating your account).
You could definitely tell she checked out my board and was likely inspired by these picks.
I was honestly shocked by how many people were interested in a book club, so let me start by saying, IT IS IN THE WORKS! I’m still working out details and everything, so make sure you are signed up for me email list because I’ll be sharing everything with them first. Sign up HERE.
I can still remember the first time I heard about it, I was working at a local mom and pop coffee shop shortly after moving back to Illinois from Los Angeles and someone handed me his reusable coffee mug and as I started filling it with coffee, I saw something floating and freaked out. I think I dumped it out, thinking it was something that came from the coffee pot, only to find out after that he had put butter in his coffee.
